Content for your Website

Setting up a business, brand or showcase involves many steps, and building a meaningful website is a big one. Your website is more than a business card; it's where people can learn about you and what you stand for. Let me create nuanced content for you and take one thing off your plate.

In my experience writing for various online platforms, I've learnt that a clear and distinctive voice is key for building engagement. Inundated with content, people will pause when confronted with something unique and relevant – and search engines love this too! Honestly. The best thing you can do for better SEO is have great content.

My website content packages are intended for individuals and businesses setting up a new website, or seeking to reassess their existing website to better reflect their work. Through a structured three-phase plan, I will collaborate closely with you to create text that explains your story, mission and services in a cohesive and compelling manner that feels true to your identity and brand.

  • A questionnaire to help you identify your vision and goals for your website

  • One 30-minute audio/video call to discuss the above and how best to implement them through your website's copy

  • Text for your website based on our conversation (excluding Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy etc. as these should ideally be legally vetted)

  • Bonus: Text for up to 3 email templates that you might need to get started

  • Up to one rewrite of all the text I write for you, based on your feedback

  • A final edit and proofread to ensure everything is ready for you to upload to your website

  • Email support throughout the duration of the project for any questions you might have

  • Content for additional pages, email templates and/or an additional call can be added to the package later at a reasonable cost (this will always be communicated beforehand)

  • A reliable internet connection, Gmail account (recommended) and Zoom

  • An idea of the goals and purpose of your website, and the ethos of your work and brand

  • Knowing the various pages for which you'd need text, and notes or a broad idea of what they will contain

  • Having a wireframe in place for your website is strongly recommended so that we know exactly which blocks, banners or forms we're creating content for; looking at popular website services to get an idea of the templates on offer, as well as websites you admire are both good ways to begin

If you need more help figuring this out, mention it in your registration form and I'll share some resources to get you started.
